Glamp (Glamorous Camping) at Posh Primitive in Chestertown for a truly unique lodging experience, or as always- we recommend you Stay with Us!
Day 1 Living Local
Make your first day a Wednesday, because the Chestertown Farmer’s Market is the best around! Have a delicious sweet or savory filled crepe for brunch and stock up on organic produce and baked goods for the rest of your stay. Check out Rustic Charm Handcrafted Arts and Gifts right down the street, or call ahead and schedule a pottery session.
In the afternoon, spend the day exploring Stone Bridge & Caves hiking the cave trail and checking out the shops. Play a round of disc golf through the woods. Take a swim at a local swimming hole.
Day 2 Farms & Ferries – A FULL Day…
Take a 45 min road trip up north and schedule a farm tour at Essex Farm, made famous by the novel Dirty Life, written by Kristin Kimball. Along the way stop off at quaint Reber Rock Farm Store (cash only) and The Hub on the Hill to find fantastic local produce, jams, maple products, freshly pressed oils, herbal remedies and so much more.
Take the Essex Ferry across the glorious Lake Champlain into the town of Charlotte, VT- Just a 10 minute drive to the Shelburne Museum or 20 minutes to Burlington, VT a mini mecca of all things Vermont-groovy. Our favorite stops: Outdoor Gear Exchange, Sherpa Kitchen, and Lake Champlain Chocolate
**Pro Tip- freeze your empty ½ gallons the night before and bring a cooler for storing perishables you’ll inevitably buy throughout the day.
Day 3 Workout & Wellness
Head south for the day and see another side of the Adirondacks. Get your workout on the water during a SUP Yoga class with Lemon Tree Yoga Studio in Lake George.
Book an acupuncture session, massage, or mani-pedi with one of the top recommended therapists at Abanakee Wellness in Warrensburg.
Have dinner at the Friends Lake Inn, in Chestertown. With a farm-to-table inspired menu and over 18,000 wine choices…
